Honor de artista

by Octave Feuillet

One of the noblest names of the old France, the Odón de Pierrepont, was taken, and well taken, around 1875, by the Marquis Pedro Armando, who was then thirty years old, and was the last male descendant of such illustrious family. The Marquis was one of those men who, by his beautiful and serious face, his virile grace, his correct and simple elegance, made spontaneously sprout from his lips this phrase of trivial admiration: he has the bearing of a prince.
