When it comes to classic adventure novels, and books about adventurous characters, we have thousands of great titles from masters like Jules Verne, Jack London and H.G. Wells. The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo are a few greats from Dumas. The classic adventure novel The Scarlet Pimpernel by the Baroness Orczy predates Batman and Zorro with its “masked hero.”
